Holmes strives for normal life

Suri Cruise is one of the most famous kids on the planet, but Katie Holmes just wants her daughter to have as normal a life as possible.

Speaking to Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday, Holmes said she tries her “best” to create a sense of normalcy for her 8-year-old, who’s photographed by paparazzi more often than some A-list adults.

“I try very hard because I am very grateful for my upbringing,” the Toledo, Ohio, native told Lauer. “The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am, and that her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever,” added Holmes, 35, who lives in Chelsea with Suri.

As for her past, which includes a much-publicized marriage to – and 2012 divorce from – Tom Cruise, Holmes said it’s just, well, that.

“I never really look back,” she said.

Strahan unwinds after split

Cheating rumors? What cheating rumors? Less than 24 hours after TMZ.com reported that infidelity caused his recent split from fiancée Nicole Murphy, Michael Strahan was spotted unwinding with close friends over drinks at STK Downtown.

The newly single “Live!” co-host was in “good spirits” while having drinks with his buddies, laughing and talking throughout the night, said a spy, adding that the evening was “low-key.”

Last Friday, Strahan and Murphy announced the end of their engagement, just a day before Strahan’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. According to TMZ, Murphy confirmed “proof” of Strahan’s cheating, prompting the public breakup declaration.

Wiz Khalifa skips arraignment

A warrant has been issued for rapper Wiz Khalifa’s arrest after he skipped a court date on a marijuana possession charge in West Texas.

Online court records show the 26-year-old performer, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, failed to appear for a scheduled Wednesday arraignment in an El Paso County misdemeanor court. So County Court-at-Law Judge Ricardo Herrera issued a bench warrant for Khalifa’s arrest.

The case started May 25 when Khalifa was arrested at El Paso International Airport after airport security officers reported finding a small canister of marijuana on him.
