Twain to end Vegas run

Country superstar Shania Twain says she’ll end her residency in Las Vegas with a final show Dec. 13, two years after she began performing at Caesars Palace.

Twain announced 16 “Shania: Still the One” shows in October and December, in addition to summer performances running through July 26 at the Colosseum.

The singer known for hits including “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much” arrived in Las Vegas on horseback in November 2012 and her stage show features trained horses.

Organizers said at the time that Twain’s residency would be a two-year engagement.

New ‘Fargo’ season planned

“Fargo” the series is returning for a second 10-episode installment.

Series creator Noah Hawley is working on an all-new “true crime” story that will feature an all-new cast of characters, a new time period and a new case that will retain the “Minnesota nice” murder and mayhem flavor of the first season.

“We could not be more proud of ‘Fargo,’ ” said John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions. “Noah’s audacious, bordering on hubristic riff on my favorite Coen brothers film … was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment.”

Among those nominated for Emmys were lead actors Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, and supporting actress Alison Tolman. The series was nominated for outstanding miniseries.

Mellencamp’s son charged

The son of rock star John Mellencamp faces an underage drinking charge while awaiting resolution of charges that he and his brother seriously injured a man in a 2013 fight.

Monroe County court records show Hud Mellencamp, 20, of Bloomington, Ind., was charged July 10 with a misdemeanor count of illegal alcohol consumption. Details about the case weren’t immediately available.

Defense attorney Jennifer Lukemeyer did not immediately return a message seeking comment Monday on the new charge and the request from prosecutors that Mellencamp’s bond be revoked from his 2013 arrest.

In that case, Hud Mellencamp and his younger brother, Speck, face felony battery charges that they punched and kicked a 19-year-old man who they believed had hit Speck Mellencamp earlier that night. The Mellencamps’ dad, John, lives near Bloomington.

Bieber condo is trouble spot

Beverly Hills police have a new favorite haunt: Justin Bieber’s condo.

Police officers responded six times over the weekend to the condo – twice for fan misconduct and four times because neighbors complained about noise coming from an apparent party, said Beverly Hills police.

Bieber was not cited but was given verbal warnings. He is on probation for egging the home of a former neighbor in Calabasas.

Bieber recently moved to a five-story luxury building, acquiring a penthouse apartment.
