Western New York Iris Society will hold its annual Rhizome and Plant Sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Tonawanda Farmers’ Market, 310 Robinson St. at Payne Avenue, and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Clarence Flea Market, 11111 Main St., Clarence. The ninth annual free and self-guided Black Rock and Riverside Tour of Gardens, involving more than 50 gardens, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Starry Night Garden Tour of 25 illuminated gardens will run that evening from 8 to 10. Maps and merchandise will be available during daytime tour hours at two headquarters: St. Mark’s & All Saints’ Church, 311 Ontario St., and Buffalo Religious Arts Center, 157 East St. They also can be downloaded online at www.brrtourofgardens.com. Also Saturday: A Black Rock History Tour will be conducted by North Council Member Joseph Golombek Jr. at 11 a.m. Meet at Buffalo Religious Arts Center. Cost is $8 per person; proceeds will benefit the garden tour. The Religious Arts Center will also have its own docent tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., $10 per person.

The Lewiston and Youngstown garden clubs and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society will hold a joint potluck picnic at noon Monday at the Officers’ Club in Fort Niagara State Park. Guests and prospective members are invited. For information, call 297-5925.

Willow Ridge Garden Club will honor the memory of Norma “Jean” Barron, eighth club president, with a memorial bench commemoration ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday at Willow Ridge Drive and Sweet Home Road, Amherst.

The club will meet at noon Wednesday for a potluck picnic and croquet tournament at the home of the club’s vice president. Members will share culinary delights utilizing herbs.
