Previous conviction leads to felony DWI charge
Updated: August 21, 2010, 1:31 AM
A Concord man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Rocky Road in East Concord for a traffic violation early Saturday, Erie County sheriff’s officials said.
Jason D. Hebeler, 34, was pulled over about 3 a. m. and charged with DWI. After police learned he had a prior DWI conviction, the charge was raised to a felony. He also had a suspended license at the time of his arrest for failing to pay a fine to the Town of Concord, resulting in a charge of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
Hebeler posted a blood-alcohol content of 0.21 percent, about 2z times the legal limit.
Hebeler was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment in Concord Town Court.
