The second annual Lavender Festival featuring artisans, growers, farmers’ market and more will take place from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Saturday at Angelica’s Park Circle, Angelica (Allegany County). Sally Cunningham, garden writer, lecturer and consultant, will speak at 11 a. m. Visit

The Western New York Iris Society will hold a Japanese Iris Show from 1 to 4 p. m. Sunday at Rudolph Galley& Sons Greenhouses, 2722 Clinton St., West Seneca. Horticulture and design exhibits will be featured. Members of the Ikebana International Chapter 50 will display Japanese floral arrangements. Countryside Garden Club of Elma will meet at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at the Elma Library, Bowen at Rice roads, and car-pool to Top of the World Gardens, Pavilion. Lunch will follow.

Amana Garden Club will meet at 9 a. m. Wednesday at Covenant United Methodist Church, 539 Main St., West Seneca. A field trip is planned, including a tour of the Cottage Gardens in Medina.

Ken-Sheriton Garden Club will hold its annual picnic/ potluck dinner at 3 p. m. Wednesday at the home of Terry Shanahan.

Federated Lancaster Garden Club will meet at 5 p. m. Wednesday for a tour of members’ gardens and a progressive dinner.

Orchard Park Garden Club will hold its annual presidents’ picnic at noon Thursday at Chestnut Ridge Park. Members will create “Crazy Quilt” table designs.
