The Buffalo Bills have invited members of the Monday Quarterback Club to attend the Bills’ evening practice session July 30 at training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford. The Bills will unveil their throwback jersey commemorating the 50th anniversary of the American Football League at this practice. The event includes a reception, food and special seating. Free bus transportation will be provided by the club on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those interested in attending the event who aren’t members can join the Monday Quarterback Club by visiting the organization’s Web site, www.mondayqbc.com, or by calling 693-3807.

TNA Wrestling superstars Jay Lethal and Austin Creed, the duo that comprise the tag team “Lethal Consequences” will be available for a meet and greet session from 5-6 p. m. Wednesday at Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant, 3785 South Park Ave., Blasdell. The tandem will sign autographs while doing an interview with a satellite radio show from the restaurant. The event is free and open to the public. The tag team is expected to be in action during TNA’s show July 11 at the Agri Center at Hamburg Fairgrounds. During the autograph session, raffle tickets will be sold ($5 each) with the winner receiving four ringside seat tickets for the show along with dinner for four at the restaurant.

Steve Lancon, a West Seneca West graduate who will attend the University at Buffalo, received the inaugural Ed Pfister Scholarship from First Tee of Western New York last Monday.

BASEBALL: The Blue Jays Baseball Club will hold its seventh annual summer tournaments July 27-Aug. 5 in Stamford. The event is for teams ages 13-under, 14-under, 15-under, 16-under and 18-under. BASKETBALL: The Buffalo Niagara Court Center in West Seneca is accepting registrations for its boys basketball day camp directed by Hilbert College assistant coach Mick Kuberka. The camp runs July 27-30 from 9 a. m.-3 p. m. and is open to boys ages 8-16. Cost is $200 and includes a T-shirt and lunch on the last day of camp. FISHING DERBY: Independent Living of Niagara County will hold its fourth bass derby and barbecue at 7 a. m. Aug. 2 at Old Fort Niagara State Park on the Lower Niagara River. During the post-derby barbecue at the Fin Feather and Fur Conservation Club, there will be a live musical performance by Marybeth King. Additional sponsors and captains are encouraged. RUNNING:Experienced traffic volunteers are needed for the Subaru Buffalo Four-Mile Chase at 7 p. m. July 17. Call 881-1652.

SOFTBALL: Rascals will hold a Class DRec Softball Tournament July 25 and 26 (if needed). For tournament information, contact Gary Diel at derek@exhibitsetc.com or call 957-3047.

TENNIS: All youth 18 and under are welcome to join the River Rock Junior Team Tennis League. Matches will be held at Riverside Park from 6-8 p. m. on Wednesdays beginning this Wednesday through July 22. There will be a tournament and pizza party July 25. There is a $20 registration fee with scholarships available. Winners from the tournament will advance to district finals July 26 at Hickory Hill Country Club in Orchard Park. Registration will be at 5:30 p. m. Wednesday at Riverside Park. Call Courtney Fox at 874-2483.
