Fairfield Inn & Suites Buffalo-Airport has opened for business, directly across Genesee Street from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

The five-story, 140-room property hosted its first guests on Wednesday. It is part of Buffalo Lodging Associates, which has hotels in nine states and Ontario.

The new Fairfield Inn was built on the site of the former Park Plaza hotel, which was demolished in 2007.
