Why aren’t we all entitled to the health care Lee has?
Updated: August 21, 2010, 1:13 AM
Congressman Christopher Lee is part of the shrinking Republican cabal that would oppose a health care plan that any Democratic president proposes. Typically, lacking anything constructive, his goal is to scare you to death. “Lee wants to hear from you,” say his propaganda flyers. No he doesn’t. He’ll oppose anything coming out of committee.
What do you suppose he has for his family? You guessed it. “Governmentrun” health care, with choices, paid for by your taxes. Will he cancel his? Of course not. He doesn’t care that, soon, very few of us will be able to afford premiums under the present system. They skyrocket every year with more people giving up and many filing bankruptcy, unable to pay their burgeoning bills. He reaps lobbyist benefits as long as insurance company and pharmaceutical profits rise.
As an American citizen, wouldn’t you like the same quality health care he gets, or the quality, government-run care the VA provides our military, or the same access to quality care provided to citizens of every other democratic country in the free world? GOP “plans” have never changed. They are to kill affordable health care for the rest of us.
