Papa service planned for July 11

A memorial service to commemorate the life of Gary Papa, the Buffalo native and local sportscaster who became one of the top television talents in Philadelphia, will be held at 11 a. m. July 11 in St. John the Baptist Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
A reception is scheduled for 1 p. m. at the Harbour Club at HSBC Arena.
Mr. Papa died June 19 in Philadelphia, following a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. He was 54.
