Jason Zollinger, the South Dayton man who went on a six-game winning streak on Jeopardy in January, will appear on the show's "Tournament of Champions" competition at 7:30 p.m. today on WKBW, Channel 7.

Zollinger, a burly factory engine assembler who won $148,404 in January, competed in the quarterfinals May 14 and the semifinals Tuesday, winning $6,600.

Zollinger came in third in his quarterfinals game, which he played against Vijay Balse of Chatham, N.J., and Stefan Goodreau of Arleta, Calif. But his final winnings — $11,500 — were high enough to earn him a wild card spot in the semifinals. Tonight he will face Balse and Goodreau again in the two-night final faceoff.

Zollinger, a 1988 graduate of Pine Valley High School, will be cheered on by his wife, Rose, and daughter, Muriel, as well as his father, Larry Zollinger of South Dayton, and his mom, Kathy Baird, of the Town of Cuba.
