LEICESTER —A Geneseo State College student from Sanborn was killed in an early Tuesday morning crash in the Livingston County Town of Leicester.

Mary E. Kavanaugh, 22, of Lower Mountain Road, a 2006 Starpoint High School graduate, was traveling on Caledonia Road in Leicester shortly before 5 a.m. when her car went out of control and rolled over, according to reports.

Livingston County sheriff’s officials said a passer-by called the crash into the 911 center. Deputies arrived on scene and found the driver, Kavanaugh, had died.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation late Tuesday.
