Two arrested after fighting with police on Chippewa
Updated: August 21, 2010, 9:53 AM
A 25-year-old Lockport man and 24-year-old Buffalo woman were arrested this morning after getting into a fight with Buffalo police officers at a Chippewa Street bar.
Ajay Makhija and Kristen Hollywood were both charged with second-degree obstruction of
governmental administration and resisting arrest, while Hollywood also was charged with
second-degree felony assault for allegedly intentionally injuring a police officer.
Makhija was told to leave Bottom's Up bar at 69 W. Chippewa St. at around 4 a.m. and
allegedly forced his way back in past police officers, resulting in a struggle with the
officers, according to a police report. Hollywood, who was described by police as Makhija's
girlfriend, allegedly interfered with the arrest of Makhija and, in the process, scratched one
of the officers in the face, police reported.
