Overnight Pearl Street fire results in injury to firefighter

A fire this morning at 101 N. Pearl St. damaged an apartment building and left one firefighter injured, the Buffalo Fire Department reported.
The fire at 4:15 a.m. caused $50,000 damage to the building and $25,000 damage to the contents, according to officials.
A fire chief was injured. His name and the extent of his injury were not made available by the Fire Department.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
