A Buffalo man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare

of a child after a one-car crash in the Town of Elma on Sunday evening, state police said.

Troopers arrested Thomas M. Jackson, 53, of Hillside Avenue, following the crash that

occurred at about 6 p.m. Sunday on Hemstreet Road in Elma. They said his 7-year-old son was in

the vehicle.

Jackson was sent to the Erie County Holding Center on a bench warrant accusing him of a

drug possession charge, state police said.
