Alden

The Town Board will meet at 7 p. m. Monday in Town Hall, 3311 Wende Road.

Amherst

The Town Board will hold a regular meeting at 7 p. m. Monday in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 3 p. m.

Buffalo

The Common Council will meet at 2 p. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers on the 13th floor of City Hall. Also this week:

The Council will hold its premeeting caucus at 2 p. m. Monday in Room 1417 of City Hall.

The Aloma D. Johnson Fruit Belt Community Charter School board of trustees will meet at 6 p. m. Monday in the school, 833 Michigan Ave.

The Sewer Authority will meet at 9 a. m. Wednesday in Room 1038 of City Hall.

The Zoning Board will meet at 2 p. m. Wednesday in Room 901 of City Hall.

The Preservation Board will meet at 3 p. m. Thursday in Room 901 of City Hall.

Cheektowaga

The Town Board will have a work session at 6:45 p. m. Monday in Town Hall, 3301 Broadway. Also this week:

The Cheektowaga Central School Board will conduct a special meeting at 6:45 p. m. Tuesday in the board room in the high school, 3600 Union Road.

Clarence

The Town Board will meet at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday in Town Hall, One Town Place.

Depew

The Board of Education will meet at 6 p. m. Tuesday in the Terrace Education Center, 591 Terrace Blvd.

Erie County

The County Legislature’s Finance and Management Committee begins its annual midyear budget review at 9:30 a. m. Monday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall. The sessions continue at 9 a. m. Tuesday and 9 a. m. Wednesday as County Executive Chris Collins’ department heads and the county’s elected leaders describe their budget status so far this year and look toward 2010. Also this week: Collins will hold a public hearing Wednesday on the recently approved bill to reduce the size of the Legislature from 15 members to 13 and to increase the length of a lawmaker’s term from two yars to four. The hearing is at 1 p. m. on the 14th floor of the Rath County Office Building.

The Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority, also known as the state-appointed control board, meets at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Central Library, Lafayette Square.

Hamburg

The Village Board will conduct a work session at 5:30 p. m. Monday followed by its regular meeting at 7 p. m. in Village Hall, 100 Main St. Also this week:

The village Architectural Review Committee will meet at 7 p. m. Tuesday in Village Hall.

Kenmore

The Village Board meets at 8 p. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 6:30 in the mayor’s office.

Lackawanna

The Global Concepts Charter School Board will meet at 7 p. m. Wednesday in the auditorium, 1001 Ridge Road.

Newstead

The Town Board will meet in a work session at 7:30 p. m. Monday in Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Road, Akron.

Akron

The Board of Education will meet at 7 p. m. Wednesday in room H-190 of the school complex on Bloomingdale Avenue.

North Collins

The North Collins School Board will meet at 6:30 p. m. Thursday in the Library- Media Center of the High School Building, 2045 School St.

Orchard Park

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday in the Municipal Center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.
