Corfu woman killed when car collides with snowplow

A Corfu woman was killed this morning when she lost control of her car and was struck by a snowplow on Walden Avenue in the Town of Lancaster.

Lindsay Burleson, 22, was driving west when she lost control on the snow-covered road, crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic. The crash occured about 7:45 a.m., between Ransom and Town Line roads.

She was struck by a state Department of Transportation plow. Police did not release the name of the plow operator.
