Erie County sheriff’s deputies arrested an Elma woman early Wednesday morning and charged her with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Deputies said Susan L. Lurie, 51, recorded a 0.21 percent blood-alcohol level after her vehicle was stopped in Elma.

While on routine patrol, Deputy Thomas Meredith said he saw Lurie driving a vehicle at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner.

Meredith charged Lurie with aggravated DWI for registering a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, and several traffic infractions following the 1:25 a. m. stop.
