Electronics, other items taken from cars in Falls
Updated: August 21, 2010, 4:12 AM
NIAGARA FALLS—Items worth several thousands dollars were reported stolen early Monday from vehicles near the Seneca Niagara Casino.
After a security manager reported a car alarm at about 3 a. m., four tourists, with California and New York addresses, said the passenger windows of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz had been smashed and a global positioning system, five cell phones, designer bags and designer shoes, a leather jacket, a laptop computer and a computer bag were stolen. The value of the items was put at $22,000.
At about the same time, a Buffalo man reported a theft from his 2003 Chevrolet Malibu in another parking lot near the casino. He said a passenger window was broken and a door was forced open, causing $700 in damage. A GPS and electronics cords valued at $300 were stolen.
