RIPLEY—A Ripley man faces driving while intoxicated and other charges following a crash shortly after 11 p. m. Friday on Burton Road.

Christopher L. Hawkins, 31, of Carris Road, is also charged with failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and refusing to take a breath test. A Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputy discovered Hawkins’ abandoned and disabled vehicle in a ditch, along with a broken street marker, authorities said. He was arrested at his residence, deputies added.
