BATAVIA—Laura J. Miller, who operates a family farm in Alexander, has been re-elected to a second one-year term as chairwoman of the Genesee Community College board of trustees.

An announcement Tuesday said that trustees Charles R. Ruffino of Batavia, a retired education administrator, and Maureen T. Marshall of Elba, owner/operator of Torrey Farms, were renamed vice chairman and secretary, respectively.

At a special meeting, the trustees awarded a $394,450 contract for general construction work in the Zambito gymnasium to V. J. Gautieri Corp. of Batavia. The project is part of an upgrade of athletic facilities that included outdoor fields for soccer and lacrosse. The state is financing half the $4.1 million cost.
