BATAVIA—A Byron woman is accused of identity theft for stealing credit card numbers and making fraudulent purchases.

Alisha Ann Ballard, 21, is charged with first-degree falsifying business records, unlawful possession of personal ID, second-degree forgery, second-degree identity theft and petit larceny. She committed the crimes in August, when she worked as a cashier at the Batavia Citgo, Genesee County sheriff’s officials said.

Ballard also is accused of using another person’s credit card number in mid-November to make several fraudulent food purchases from Fullerino’s Pizza in Byron. She was arrested after a deputy posed as a pizza deliveryman, authorities added.
