Woman in chase charged by five jurisdictions

BATAVIA—Authorities in five Genesee County jurisdictions are lodging more than a dozen charges against an Ontario woman who led police on a two-county chase Dec. 19, Genesee County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.
Crystal Pinnock, 23, is accused of triggering an early morning chase that began in Le Roy and continued through the towns of Stafford and Batavia, the City of Batavia and north to the Village of Albion in Orleans County, where she lost control of her vehicle and went off the road.
Pinnock was charged with speeding and unsafe passing in Le Roy; unlawful fleeing a police officer, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, reckless driving and driving outside of the pavement markings in Stafford; speeding and driving outside of the pavement markings in the Town of Batavia; and speeding, three counts of passing a red light and reckless driving in the City of Batavia.
State police are also expected to file charges against Pinnock for an incident in Elba.
She was arraigned and released to Orleans County sheriff’s officials, who also have charges pending against her.
