Troopers make 7 arrests following Bills game
Updated: August 21, 2010, 3:44 AM
A State Police saturation detail following the Buffalo Bills home game Sunday afternoon netted seven arrests, including four for driving while intoxicated, one for driving while ability impaired and two for marijuana possession.
The most serious charge was lodged after troopers stopped a vehicle for moving unsafely from its lane and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle on Orchard Park Road at Ridge Road in West Seneca.
The driver, Maria C. DiFrancesco, 20, of West Cranwood Drive, West Seneca, told troopers she had been ejected earlier from the Bills game for drinking, according to police reports.
DiFrancesco was charged with aggravated DWI after being accused of recording a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent.
Besides the seven arrests, troopers also issued 16 tickets for speeding and 23 tickets for other traffic offenses during the saturation detail concentrated in the Erie County Southtowns.
