ATTICA—Three inmates of Attica Correctional Facility were charged late last week in connection with incidents involving weapons at the prison over the last several months, state police reported on Monday.

Tracy H. Morris, 49; Brandon McGrady, 22; and Omar M. Shabazz, 32, were all allegedly found in possession of edged weapons inside the prison and charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a weapon.

The three were arraigned in Wyoming County Court and released back to the custody of state corrections officials pending future court dates.

According to state corrections records, Morris is serving a 16-to 32-year sentence for first-degree sodomy in Queens; McGrady is serving 25 years to life for second-degree murder in Monroe County; and Shabazz is serving up to eight years for a felony weapons charge in New York City.
