Still digging -- A breakdown of the airport budget

The NFTA is still looking for $14.5 million to pay for the new terminal and other improvements at the Niagara Falls International Airport. Here is the project budget and revenue stream:

Terminal

To be determined: $13.2 million

Casino revenue: $12.2 million

State money:$ 2 million

Niagara Economic Development Fund: $2 million

Falls airport capital reserve: $1.4 million

Federal Transportation Administration: $320,000

State Airport Improvement and Revitalization Grant Program: $300,000

NFTA match: $80,000

National Fuel: $23,898

Total: $31.6 million

Apron and landside improvements

Federal Airport Administration: $9.1 million

To be determined: $1.3 million

State Department of Transportation: $238,363

NFTA match: $238,363

Total: $10.9 million

TOTAL PROJECT: $42.5 million
