Cocaine possession brings 2-year sentence

LITTLE VALLEY—A Buffalo man was sentenced Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to two years in prison for possessing more than 500 milligrams of cocaine, which he intended to sell.
John D. Williams, 28, now in the county jail, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein on his conviction of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Feb. 28, 2008, in the City of Olean. When he is paroled, he faces two years of post-release supervision.
In another sentencing, Jeffrey L. Campbell Jr., 25, of Mayville, was sentenced to one year in jail for his conviction on endangering the welfare of a child Oct. 31, 2008 in Carrollton, involving a person under age 17.
Kristian P. Gordon-Smith, 23, of Hinsdale, pleaded guilty to third-degree rape July 10 in the City of Olean involving a person under age 17. He faces sentencing March 1.
Jonathan M. Hawkins, 29, of Salamanca, was arraigned and pleaded not guilty to second-degree burglary, petit larceny and first-degree criminal possession of stolen property May 24 at a house in Great Valley.
