Troopers make DWI arrests in three communities

State police made DWI arrests Sunday in Clarence, Elma and Lancaster.
Mary Jo Hrichan, 30, of East Aurora, was charged with driving while intoxicated after she was stopped for speeding at about 1 a. m. on Clinton Street in Elma. She recorded a 0.17 percent on her blood-alcohol screening, troopers said.
In Clarence, Matthew J. Walsh, 22, of West Seneca, was charged with DWI after he was stopped for speeding on Transit Road at about 3:15 a. m. Troopers said he recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.23 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.
The third arrest for DWI was Munerah Kaid, 30, of Buffalo, who was stopped at about 4:05 a. m. for failing to yield the right of way and making an improper turn on to Transit Road in Lancaster, troopers said. They reported that Kaid recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.12 percent.
