Driver accused of impeding patrol car, faces DWI count

NIAGARA FALLS—A Willow Avenue man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly opened his car door in the path of a Niagara County sheriff’s patrol car early Friday.
The incident happened on Spruce Avenue near Whirlpool Street at about 12:50 a. m. Friday, according to a sheriff’s report.
Roland T. White, 36, was charged with two counts of DWI, as well as first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and a traffic violation.
