LE ROY—A Genesee County woman has been charged with reckless endangerment after a domestic dispute in which she was shot in the arm with a gun she had grabbed, sheriff’s officials reported today.

Michelle L. Baumgart was arrested at her Town of Le Roy home at about 10:30 p. m. Sunday. She also was charged with weapons possession, according to law enforcement reports.

Sheriff’s officials said Baumgart grabbed a handgun belonging to Robert

M. Jackson on Wednesday night while the two were engaged in the domestic dispute. As the two struggled for the weapon, it went off, wounding Baumgart in the upper arm, authorities said.

She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where she was treated in the emergency room. Two children in the home at the time were not injured.
