A series of searches at the homes of 10 individuals on probation in Erie County has resulted in the confiscation of weapons, cash and drugs, authorities said Tuesday.

In Depew on Monday, five homes were searched by county probation officers and Depew police officers, who seized 15 weapons, prescription medications, hypodermic needles. One person was arrested as well, though the individual’s identity was not released.

In five other searches last week, probation officers, Town of Tonawanda police and Border Patrol officers seized two machetes, a crossbow, a loaded shotgun, drugs and money.

Three people were arrested in those searches, but their names were not released.
