W. Seneca man accused of not paying cab fare

A West Seneca man was charged last weekend with failing to pay for a cab ride and resisting arrest.
The man took a cab ride from Bailey Avenue to his home Saturday evening but refused to pay the fare, police said. He became belligerent and combative and refused to be handcuffed, according to town police. A struggle ensued, and the arresting officers, Brian E. Cosgrove and James P. Unger, fought with the suspect on the ground to get him under control.
Blaine Szyszkowski, 44, was charged with theft of services and resisting arrest.
