Amherst man’s complaint exposes him to charges
Updated: August 21, 2010, 3:12 AM
An Amherst man who lodged a complaint that a check was stolen from him and forged, wound up in hot water himself after investigators learned that a payment was made for sexual contact with a 21-year-old male prostitute, troopers announced Friday.
William J. Thygesen, 60, of Hartford Avenue, was charged with issuing a false written statement and patronizing a prostitute. Troopers said they were investigating the forged check complaint made by Thygesen, which led to the discovery of the prostitution case.
Thygesen was issued tickets to appear in courts in the towns of Clarence and Amherst.
