City’s 54th homicide claims 39-year-old man

Buffalo homicide investigators were at the scene of the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man Thursday night on Davis Street near Jefferson Avenue.
Shots rang out at about 8:30 p. m. in the first block of Davis. The victim, fatally shot in the abdomen, underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation en route to Erie County Medical Center. The name of the victim of the city’s 54th homicide of the year was unavailable.
Late Thursday, police were at the scene of another shooting on Fillmore Avenue. Further information was unavailable.
