We booked the Terrace Room at the Statler Hotel last year for my daughter’s wedding reception on Nov. 7. With all of the horror stories in the media, we considered backing out and finding another reception hall. I called the manager for Park Lane Catering to discuss our fears. She told a different story than what we’d been seeing in the media. She calmed our fears and we decided to stay since my daughter had her heart set on the Statler.

Her reception went on as planned. It was absolutely beautiful. It was so elegant, and the food and service were excellent. Our guests couldn’t say enough on how beautiful everything was.

The Park Lane was very accommodating. The management, waiters, waitresses, bartenders, cleaners—everyone was wonderful. The media should focus on how things are alive and well at the Statler instead of the negative, which probably caused some brides to back out on the place they had wanted for their special day.
