SALAMANCA—A fire of unknown origin at about 4 p. m. Monday destroyed a garage at 408 Fair Oak St.

Assistant City Fire Chief Anthony Ellis said the fire was at the back side of the building but contents probably also sustained damage.

The city’s Fire Investigation Team is looking into the cause and will return to the scene today.

Ellis said no damage amount has been assessed.

Three of the city’s fire apparatus were assisted by two pumper trucks from Kill Buck that shuttled water from hydrants to the scene.

There were no injuries.
