Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls is adding two more high-end stores to its designer lineup.

Both Escada and DKNY will bring outlet versions of their designer label stores to the mall, the only ones of their kind in the immediate area.

“These are stores that haven’t been in the market and are filling a need,” said Julie Clark, marketing director for the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls. “It’s something the market has been requesting.”

Escada, a German luxury fashion brand, will open a company store July 16 in conjunction with the mall’s grand reopening. The nearest Escada is currently located in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

In addition to women’s designer and sport clothing, Escada offers shoes, accessories and fragrance. The store will occupy space just north of the center’s main entrance, accessible through an exterior entryway.

Escada Group has 400 retail centers globally, with more than half its sales coming from European consumers. North America accounts for 21 percent of the line’s sales.

A DKNY Company Outlet will fill another 3,500 square feet in the mall’s new Fashion Avenue wing, amid such designer names as Coach and Guess. DKNY occupied space along the mall’s outer plaza near Applebee’s under the mall’s previous ownership, the Baltimore-based Prime Outlets.

The store, which sells women’s clothing and accessories from designer Donna Karan, is expected to open in late August. Currently, the closest DKNY company store is located in Central Valley.

Late last month, Solstice Sunglass Boutique opened in the mall’s center court area across from Anne Klein. Solstice sells luxury sun eyewear and accessories from more than 20 designer labels, such as Gucci, Dior and Chanel.
