Four indicted, two others plead guilty in Cattaraugus County Court

LITTLE VALLEY — Kelsey E. Layfield, 19, of Olean, has been indicted on seven charges, including three felonies, Cattaraugus County District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said.

Layfield, who was arrested Nov. 6 in Portville, is charged with two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, plus second-degree assault, reckless driving, failure to keep right, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

The indictment states that she “created a grave risk of death of two separate individuals by driving recklessly” and “assaulted and harassed a third person.”

Other indictments are:

Patricia J. Jester, 51, of Delevan, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. She is accused of selling crack cocaine Dec. 4, 2007, in Yorkshire.

Christopher R. Galmer, 23, of Olean, third-degree robbery, first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree grand larceny and unlawful imprisonment. He is accused of violating an order of protection Jan. 25 in Olean and restraining and stealing from the person he was supposed to stay away from.

Kevin L. Donaldson Sr., 44, of Salamanca, third-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. He is accused of having sex with someone younger than 17 Jan. 16 in Salamanca.

Pleading guilty were:

Claudia A. Smith, 42, of Lawtons, aggravated driving while intoxicated on Dec. 13 in Persia. Sentencing was set for Oct. 13.

Christopher M. Amrhein, 35, of Olean, attempted illegal possession of a vehicle identification number in March and April 2008 in Yorkshire. He was sentenced to time served.
