SOMERSET—A 38-year-old Barker man was stabbed in the shoulder early Sunday morning, according to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies.

The stabbing happened just after 12:30 a. m. Sunday in the 9600 block of Hall Road as people were “hanging out at the house and drinking,” according to the victim, who said he was stabbed in the upper arm/shoulder area with a hunting-type knife.

Deputies found that the victim had a 1-inch to 1z-inch puncture wound, which the victim already had cleaned and bandaged by the time deputies arrived. The victim refused further treatment.

He told deputies that he and the suspect had been arguing and that the man had threatened to come back and finish the job. The victim said his concern was that the suspect may have a gun and said he wants the Sheriff’s Office to keep an eye on the area.
