Cabbie robbed at gunpoint by passenger on W. Ferry

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning at South Putnam and West Ferry streets, Buffalo police said.
The cabbie said he picked up a customer in Riverside at about 4:10 a. m., drove him around for awhile and then dropped him off at a house at South Putnam and West Ferry.
The man went into a house to get money, but when he returned to pay the fare he had a gun instead. The cab driver handed over his belongings. The gunman ran away through yards on West Ferry.
