The Niagara Sailing Club will hold its annual Bruce Kaiser Memorial Steak and Lobster Roast on July 18 in the clubhouse.

Cocktails will begin at 4 p. m., followed by dinner at 5; live music by the Scott Celani Band will start at 7. Co-hosts are Raymond and Laure Dan-Jumbo.

Edith Fine will speaki about her trip following roots of Sephardic Jews in Spain and Portugal. The talk will begin at 10:30 a. m. July 28 in the Jewish Community Center in Getzville. For information, call Karla Weisman at 688-4114, Ext. 366.

The book club will meet from 2 to 4 p. m. July 20 in the the Lippman Lounge of the Jewish Community Center. “Three Daughters,” the first novel by Letty Cottin Pogrebin, will be discussed.

Pray Tell, the study group that delves into Jewish prayer, will meet from 1:30 to 3 p. m. July 27 in the Lippman Lounge. Ted Steinberg, a distinguished professor of English at Fredonia State College, will talk about “Everything You Wanted to Know About Jewish Women in the Middle Ages.”

Women Associates of the Buffalo Power Squadron will hold its annual Sailfest on July 22 at the Buffalo Yacht Club’s summer station at Point Abino, Ont., with check-in at noon. A full day of sailing, swimming and games is planned. Cocktails at 4 p. m. will precede dinner at 5:30.

The Greater Niagara Christian Women’s Connection will hold a monthly luncheon from 11:30 a. m. to 1 p. m. July 28 in Knead the Dough restaurant, 3678 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. Tickets for the event are $13 and include tax and gratuity. Special features include a puppeteer and music by the Witnesses. Guest speaker Jeanette Paradis will talk about “26 First Dates.” Free child care will be provided. Call Carol at 754-1584 or Betty at 297-5465 by July 21 for reservations.
