The University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Core Program recently graduated 46 Western New York business owners, operators and high-level managers— the largest graduating class in the program’s 21-year history. Core program graduates completed a 10- month program for experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders who wish to grow, refocus or better manage their businesses. They performed an in-depth analysis of their own businesses while developing expertise in key areas such as strategic planning, employee relations, capital acquisition and marketing.

The Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce awarded the following: Large Business of the Year, Rural/ Metro Medical Services; Small Business of the Year, The Master Electric Company; Citizen of the Year, Patricia Wojcik; Community Service Award, Cheektowaga Police Crime Resistance Unit and a Special Presentation Award, Walden Galleria 20th Anniversary.

TREK Inc., a Medina designer and manufacturer of high-voltage power amplifiers and high-performance electrostatic instrumentation, introduced a new high voltage power amplifier— Trek Model PZD350A—that offers wide bandwidth and additional features important in piezoelectrics, electro-optics, MEMS and other applications.
