There was just one undefeated team left in the National Football League after six weeks of

games in the 2008 season. That was the Tennessee Titans, who won 10 in a row before losing.

A year later there are four, and three of the NFL's unbeatens ... Minnesota (6-0), New

Orleans (5-0) and Indianapolis (5-0) ... will be in action today, all on the road.

Of the four, only Denver (6-0) is safe. The Broncos are off before heading to Baltimore

next week.

The Vikings face the toughest test, playing the defending Super Bowl champion Steelers in

Pittsburgh. The Saints go against the resurgent Dolphins in Miami. Coach Tony Sparano's

Dolphins team has won its last two after starting 0-3 against good competition, two of the

games on the road.

Peyton Manning and the Colts go to St. Louis to face the winless Rams and are a heavy

favorite.

A capsule look at the Week Seven games:

Game of the day

Vikings (6-0) at Steelers (4-2)

TV: Ch. 29, 1 p.m.

The line: Steelers (-6)

The scoop: At age 40, Vikings QB Brett Favre is off to the best start of his career,

6-0 with three straight games with a passer rating over 100. Vikes last beat Pittsburgh in

1995. They are 0-2 since. ... Pittsburgh has won its last three after close road losses at

Chicago and Cincinnati. ... Balanced Steelers are fifth in league in offense and defense is

third.

Outlook: Steelers have won last 10 at home including '08 playoffs. Pittsburgh,

27-21.

Top attractions

Falcons (4-1) at Cowboys (3-2)

TV: Ch. 29, 4 p.m.

The line: Cowboys (-4)

The scoop: Dallas has advantage, coming off bye and playing at home. Last time

Atlanta played at Cowboys, the Falcons spoiled Bill Parcells' debut, 27-13. ... Cowboys LB

Keith Brookings goes up against his old team. ... A duel of tight ends. Tony Gonzalez of

Falcons has catches in 136 consecutive games. Jason Witten of Cowboys has 422 receptions since

2004, second among tight ends.

Outlook: Falcs' QB Matt Ryan won't rattle, but Dallas prevails, 27-21.

Saints (5-0) at Dolphins (2-3)

Kickoff: 4:15 p.m.

The line: Saints (-6)

The scoop: Miami's defensive coordinator, ex-Syracuse coach Paul Pasqualoni, had an

extra week because of a bye to come up with a defense to stop Drew Brees and the high-flying

New Orleans offense. ... First visit for Saints to Miami since '98. ... New Orleans leads

league in total offense while Miami leads in rushing offense. Key to game will be for Fins to

win toss and start hammering Saints with Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams and the wildcat.

Outlook: Saints coming off emotional win over Giants and going on road against bye

team. Perfect spot for upset. Dolphins, 20-17.

Cardinals (3-2) at Giants (5-1)

TV: Ch. 2, 8:20 p.m.

The line: Giants (-7)

The scoop: Last two NFC champs (doesn't that sound odd?) meet. Cardinals have won

last two while Giants are coming off being routed at New Orleans. ... Giants' secondary was a

sieve against Saints. They had better straighten things out against Kurt Warner, Larry

Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston.

Outlook: Giants won, 37-29, in Arizona last year. Expect another shootout. New York,

34-28.

Bears (3-2) at Bengals (4-2)

Kickoff: 1 p.m.

The line: Pick 'em

The scoop: Bears' losses were on the road at Green Bay and Atlanta. Bengals had

four-game win streak snapped in home loss to Texans last week. ... Fifteen WRs were selected

in '09 draft before Buffalo native Greg Gabriel's Chicago scouting staff made Johnny Knox

their fifth-round pick. He has three TD catches and leads league with 33.7 kickoff return

average and one TD. ... RB Cedric Benson, a former first-round disappointment with Chicago,

leads Bengals against old team.

Outlook: Big day for Jay Cutler. Bears, 31-17.

49ers (3-2) at Texas (3-3)

Kickoff: 1 p.m.

The line: Texans (-3)

Best of the rest

Bills (2-4) at Panthers (2-3)

TV: Ch. 4, 4 p.m.

The line: Panthers (-7)

The scoop: Last two Bills opponents, Dolphins and Jets, rank 1-2 in the league in

rushing. That's no coincidence. Now Buffalo faces a Panthers team coming off 267-yard game at

Tampa Bay. Not a pretty picture.

Outlook: Bills have a shot with Fitzpatrick at QB if defense isn't mauled again.

Panthers, 20-14.

Packers (3-2) at Browns (1-5)

Kickoff: 1 p.m.

The line: Packers (-9)

The scoop: Remember when Packers and Browns used to draw upwards of 83,000 to old

Cleveland Stadium for their annual preseason game as nightcap of doubleheader in the late

'60s? ... Green Bay has allowed league-high 25 sacks. Browns have 12 sacks. League average is

12.5.

Vikings. Packers, 23-17.

Chargers (2-3) at Chiefs (1-5)

average (2.9). LaDainian Tomlinson leads team with only 140 yards. ... Chiefs played Bolts to

a pair of one-point games in '08. ... Matt Cassel (7 TD passes) makes K.C. dangerous.

Outlook: Chiefs improving little by little under Todd Haley. San Diego, 24-20.

leads St. Louis in rushing with 501 yards and in pass receptions with 20 catches for 170

yards.

said. Indy, 42-17.

Jets (3-3) at Raiders (2-4)

Kickoff: 4:05 p.m.

The line: Jets (-6)

The scoop: Most amazing stat of season is Jets scoring just one TD and losing to

Bills despite running over them for 318 yards on ground. ... New York rookie QB Mark Sanchez

(56.7) ranks ahead of only JaMarcus Russell of Raiders and Derek Anderson of Browns in passer

rating. Sanchez is now behind Trent Edwards of Bills in every rating category. ... Raiders

surprised and baffled Eagles with dramatic shift in defensive strategy last week. They will

pressure Sanchez the way they bothered Donovan McNabb.
