LOCKPORT—A woman who tangled with a Niagara Falls police officer while driving drunk pleaded guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to a felony count of driving while intoxicated.

Tweilie M. Tabb, 30, of LaSalle Avenue, Niagara Falls, is to be sentenced Jan. 12 by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.

Deputy District Attorney Theodore A. Brenner said Tabb’s car struck the curb on Hyde Park Boulevard in front of the former Police Headquarters late on the night of April 27. Brenner said Tabb then turned into the parking lot, pulled up to an officer whose shift had just ended, and announced, “I’m [bleeping] drunk and I don’t know what I’m doing.”

“The officer agreed with her assessment,” Brenner told Murphy. Tabb resisted being removed from the car, scratched the officer and eventually had to be pepper-sprayed, Brenner said.
