SOS Badge to Badge, an addiction recovery support group for law enforcement personnel, will meet from 4:30 to 6 p. m. today in the Center for Inquiry, 1310 Sweet Home Road, Amherst. The meeting is open to law enforcement and corrections officers only. Call 636-4869, Ext. 318.

The Amherst Secular Organizations for Sobriety will hold a support group meeting at 7:30 p. m. today in the Center for Inquiry, 1310 Sweet Home Road, Amherst. No fee for the meeting. For information, call 636-4869, Ext. 318.

A 10-week program, “Walk to Wellness—Beginner’s Walking Program,” will begin at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at the Schofield Adult Wellness Center, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. The program will continue on Wednesdays through Sept. 2; walkers may join at any point. Call 995-3851 to register and for details.

“Take Control of Kidney Disease Through Knowledge,” a chronic kidney disease management class for those in the early stages of kidney disease, will be held at 5 p. m. next Tuesday in the National Kidney Foundation office, 300 Delaware Ave., Suite 101. The $35 cost is covered for most members of the major health insurance carriers. Scholarships are available. For information or to register, call 835-1323.

A three-day diabetes management program, “Taking Charge of Your Diabetes,” will be offered from 6 to 9 p. m. next Tuesday and July 8 and 9 in Room 249 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Health Center, 5300 Military Road, Lewiston. To register, call 298-2297.
