Erie County

The Legislature opens a public hearing at 9 a. m. Wednesday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St., on folding the county Department of Youth Services and the Department of Youth Detention into the larger county Department of Social Services. The new structure, which County Executive Chris Collins considers an efficient merger of child-services programs, requires changing the County Administrative Code and the County Charter. The Springville-Griffith Institute School Board will meet at 7 p. m. Tuesday at Concord Town Hall, 86 Franklin St. The transportation policy will be discussed.

The Town Board meets at 7:30 p. m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4 in the conference room.
