Guilty plea entered in sale of morphine pills
Updated: August 21, 2010, 12:11 AM
LOCKPORT—A Newfane man pleaded guilty Thursday in Niagara County Court to selling morphine pills to a police informant Nov. 19.
Michael J. Seager, 28, of Van Horn Avenue, admitted to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and was scheduled for sentencing Sept. 3 by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
In another drug case Thursday, Curtis M. McCoy, 46, of Rochester, pleaded not guilty to third-degree sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold cocaine to a police informant in the City of Lockport March 16. A previous indictment on the same charges was dismissed in April because prosecutors failed to give McCoy notice of his right to testify before the grand jury.
