The ‘Complicated’ reality of being Denise Richards
Updated: August 21, 2010, 12:05 AM
NEW YORK — Denise Richards’ reality show is called “It’s Complicated,” but her life seems less complex now that she’s reached an understanding with ex-husband Charlie Sheen after a messy divorce.
Season Two of the show airs at 10:30 p. m. Sundays on E!
Tell us about season two of “It’s Complicated.”
I really wanted everything to be very authentic so we shot from December until May. You really see me balance my career with being a mom.
Cameras followed you that whole time?
People think cameras follow you 24/7. It’s really not like that. We have set hours, set days, just like any scripted show.
Are your daughters (Sam, 5, and Lola, 4) featured?
My girls are in it but very little — less than they were the first season. Charlie [Sheen] was actually OK with them doing it so it’s good.
Speaking of Charlie. How are things going?
Things with Charlie are definitely much better. We’re in a very good place.
There was a funny episode the first season where you tried to cut back on swearing. How’s that working out?
Well, I never, ever swear around my kids. I’ve never even slipped, but I don’t know what it is about my girlfriends but when we get together we cuss a lot. Around my kids we don’t do it. I was always good about watching my mouth around my dad but then he moved in with me and you can only hide that for so long.
