NIAGARA FALLS—An Amherst man won more than $885,000 playing a slot machine at Seneca Niagara Casino last weekend.
John Stehlin had put a total of $45 into a Wheel of Fortune Special Edition MegaJackpot machine before he won the top progressive prize offered on it, according to a news release issued by IGT, the game’s manufacturer.
Stehlin, a marketing consultant, had already won $100 from the slot machine before the big win of $885,274, the company said.
He said he plans to use his winnings to “pay off debt, invest and travel.”
