Deputies said that Katherine M. Rice, 24, of Stow, was attempting to turn into a private driveway when a car driven by Randy Aponte, 19, of Bemus Point, clipped the right rear corner of her vehicle, pushing it into oncoming traffic. There it was struck by a vehicle driven by George F. Wright, 45, of Ashville.
Aponte and a passenger in the Rice vehicle, Katherine C. Rice, 54, of Stow, were taken to WCA Hospital, Jamestown, for treatment of injuries. Aponte was charged with unsafe passing.
