Following is a weekly listing of upcoming events of area faith groups held around Niagara County.
Monday
PRAYER: Ministry team from churches throughout Buffalo Niagara region utilizes God’s word and training to assist anyone who is sick physically, emotionally or spiritually, 7 to 9
p. m., St. James United Church of Christ, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls. No fee and no appointment necessary, although appointments can be made by calling 884-0048.
Wednesday
YOUNG AT HEART: Kelsey Harvey from the Alzheimer’s Association will speak on communicating with Alzheimer’s patients during Young at Heart senior lunch program, noon, First United Methodist Church, Main and Tremont streets, North Tonawanda. For reservations, call the church at 694-2456. A freewill offering will be taken to cover lunch expenses.
COMMUNITY DINNER: Free dinner sponsored by the Middleport United Methodist Mission Committee will include chicken and biscuits, salad and ice cream cups, 5 to 6:30
p. m., Middleport United Methodist Church, Park Avenue and Vernon Street, Middleport.
Next Sunday
CHIAVETTA’S CHICKEN: Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport, 11 a. m. Donation is $8 for adults, $4 for children 3 to 10 or free for children under 3. Takeout available.
COMMUNITY LUNCH: Ziti with sauce, bread, salad and ice cream, noon to 1 p. m., St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2239 West Creek Road, Burt. Free. For more information, contact church office at 778-7633.
